Jacqueline F. Boos

Jacque­line F. Boos, 88, of Ober­lin, died at her son Michael’s home in Welling­ton sur­rounded by her fam­ily on Wednes­day, May 23, 2012.

She owned and oper­ated Jackie’s Beauty shop for 31 years, retir­ing in 1994. She was a vol­un­teer at the Ober­lin Senior Cen­ter and she enjoyed weav­ing, and needle­point and was a self-taught artist.

She is sur­vived by her daugh­ters Kath­leen Cham­bers and Laura Boos, both of Ober­lin, sons Michael Boos of Welling­ton and Stephen Boos of Ravenna, Ohio; eight grand­chil­dren and one great-grandson; and sis­ters Mar­jorie Emery of Wake­man, Ohio, and Ernes­tine Dis­hon and Juanita Eggle­ston, both of Prince­ton, Ind.

She was pre­ceded in death by her mother Neva Sabin and father Elmer Sabin, son Charles Boos, and daugh­ter Car­lene Boos.

There will be a pri­vate fam­ily grave­side ser­vice at West­wood Ceme­tery. In lieu of flow­ers memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to New Life Hos­pice or the Epilepsy Foun­da­tion. Online con­do­lences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
