Lorain County JVS student members of the Business Professionals of America competed recently in Middleburg Heights.

Qualifying for state competition March 16 and 17 in Columbus are marketing and management, network communications and technology, and Web and graphic design students.

AMHERST: Meghan Arnold, second place in digital publishing; Ryan Edmundson, first place in presentation management team; Dominic Pratt, first place in video production team.

FIRELANDS: Hailey Koster, first place in presentation management team; Casey Koepp, first place in PC servicing and troubleshooting.

OBERLIN: Brian Buffington, first place in broadcast news production team; Kaitlyn Fury, first place in digital media production; Gabrielle Newman, first place in graphic design promotion.

WELLINGTON: Garrett Harmon, 1st place in broadcast news production team.
