Farmers share brunch with FFA students

Staff Report

A “Brunch with a Farmer” event gave Lorain County JVS students a chance recently to sit down with those already working in the agriculture industry.

Members of the Future Farmers of America shared the meal at Lorain County Community College as an opportunity to network and socialize with the professionals who put food on our plates.

They also heard presentations from local companies, including Queen Right Colonies of Spencer, which operates the largest showroom of beekeeping supplies in the state; and Red Wagon Farm of Columbia Station, a family-owned and operated vegetable farm and market.

Students who attended were landscape and greenhouse management senior Maggie Lieb, industrial equipment mechanics junior Kaitlyn LeMaster, industrial equipment mechanics junior Anthony Elek, and industrial equipment mechanics junior Noah Blanton.
