Patricia Mycek Sumpter is a displaced Wellingtonian now living in Hoopeston, Ill., though she and her husband Jack plan to return to their hometown to retire. A 1971 graduate of Wellington High School, she worked with her father and husband at Wagner’s wild bird food plant for more than 23 years before the local plant closed and the Sumpters moved to Illinois to continue their employment.
